Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My wife and I purchased a couple of things together while married. She left about a year ago and asked if she could take those things and promised to give them back when she got situated, but never did. We are getting ready to get a divorce. How can I get my stuff back????

Get a lawyer. But remember that the legal fees for "stuff" often are more than the cost to buy the same "stuff", so you may spend a dollar to make a nickel.

You need to get a court order.

When you say it's your stuff, it may not be considered so because it was purchased during the marriage. As a result, the ownership of that property will be decided during the divorce action. Of course, you can petition to retain those items or negotiate for their possession.
