Legal Question in Medical Leave in Georgia

If a child support order was originally done in 2005 for two children and only stated a dollar amount per week (not per child) and the oldest one of those children has now reached age 20, when filing the paperwork to decrease the amount of support, is the child support amount required to be recalculated for the remaining child based on new guidelines? Or can the existing order be adjusted by half?

You should file a motion to modify child support based upon the majority of the older child.

There will be a recalculation of your obligation based upon the parents' current incomes.
