Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

add defendants to amended complaint

I need to amend my original complaint. Can I add additional defendants and request a jury trial all at the same time? Can I serve the additional defendants through the mail?

Guiding you through a pending lawsuit is not an appropriate purpose of the forum. Retain a lawyer to properly handle the case.

Re: add defendants to amended complaint

I agree with Mr. Riddle, but I will add that you generally are permitted to add defendants and request a jury trial in an amended complaint. However, the new defendants must generally be served with the complaint by the sheriff/marshal just as the original defendant was. It is unadvisable to pursue a lawsuit by yourself if you don't know these answers.
