Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

What should I do when I demanded jury trial in writing and the court proceeded with bench trial and denied all my statutory defenses and the judge then failed to have me served the court's decision and order which caused me to lose my right to timely appeal?

Stating the obvious, you should have hired a lawyer to handle the case. You can pay one now to review the status and see if there is any hope of doing anything now. Posting on the internet won't help you at all.

You ask yourself "why didn't I hire a lawyer and do this right?" and "how much will it cost me to hire a lawyer to fix the mistakes I made, if I can even fix them?"

Are you sure the court even proceeded with a bench trial? Perhaps there was a summary judgment motion that was heard via rule nisi. That can happen even if a jury trial is demanded.

The fact is you needed a lawyer a long time ago.

What you should do now is find a lawyer to review your file to see what, if anything, can be done to salvage your case and explain to you exactly what happened.
