Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I have a dispute over attorney fee's. I requested from my attorney my complete file and invoices, throughout my divorce he communicated with my mother and left me out of the picture, I never gave him permission to do this. He settled my divorce, withheld the decree until I pay him 4,000 on top of the 9,000 i already paid. I pay him 100 per month and after i sent him a certified letter my intent to Arbitrate with the state bar, my wife found an entry for a small claims suit on the courts website, all after he cashed my check and got notice of my intent. He is in GA and I am in CA can he file a small claims against me based on the information I just provided?

No one here knows the details of your case or your attorneys fee agreement.

However, if you had a fee dispute the proper forum for you would be the state bar. If he has sued you over fees you could still seek arbitration but also need to respond to the suit.
