i live in a gated apartment complex. a tow truck stole my car and another was stolen a day or so later...Does the apartment complex or the security company have any liability? atlanta georgia

They might be liable. Certainly if incidents like this occurred in the past and they failed to notify their tenants and/or take any steps to prevent further crime.

Generally, no, but we don't know details about the security system, the landlord's obligation to provide security, or most importantly, the details about how the truck got access. How do you know it was a tow truck? What details do you know about the tow truck? How did they get two cars? Who witnessed it? Was it really a repo? Facts matter.

Usually no, and generally you simply make an insurance claim (hopefully you have full coverage). In some rare cases, you might have a claim, but frankly, it's far simpler to have adequate insurance and dial the 800 number.
