Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Marriage, Money

There was a situation between a spouse, her husband, and their child during her husbands deployment in Iraq (He is still currently there, as is my husband, and they will return in 2 months). The father has not sent any money home to provide for the child for months and the money was lent from my husband and I to the family for necessary purchases (i.e. food, diapers, wipes, clothing, etc.). I have all the proof of these items that were purchased for the child during this time frame. The father is refusing reimbursement and neglecting to pay for the child. During this time my marriage was, per say, on the rocks due to this situation. I am looking to sue the childs father for my husbands money back and the hardships my marriage has endured. Can my husband and I make this happen?

Re: Marriage, Money

The parents are responsible for necessities provided for their children. You can sue the father upon his return. Consult with a local attorney.
