Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

From F-2 to F-1 visa

I came here when i was 9 years old as an F-2 and my mom was an F-1. I went through middle school and high school here in the United States after graduation i went to attend college and i was never asked about my legal status because they assumed i was a citizen. After a year i got married to a U.S. permanent resident and i filed I-130 petition. i was now told by my school that i'm not able to attend until i switch to F-1 and what is the procedure. And would this affect my I-130 petition? And is there another way i can get U.S. identification.

Re: From F-2 to F-1 visa

It is very doubtful that a F-1 visa will be approved for you. Is your spouse close to eligible to apply for US citizenship?
