Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

I have a question about immigration. There is a man who is an inmate in a state prison in the United States. His charge is murder. He received 2 life sentences, they sought the death penalty but he plea bargained out. He is originally from Lebanon and commited the crime here in the US while he was not a citizen. He still is not a legal citizen. He has been locked up for 10 years now. His lawyer has been telling him that he can get him out based on some immigration law or loop hole. My question is this: Is there any way that he can get out after serving only 10 years on a 2 life sentence murder charge based on some immigration law or loop hole? If he can, would he then be deported?

No one here can possibly answer you as to how long he will serve as none of us know the facts (you gave us none - including what state he is in). His lawyer does know the answer and you might ask him.

Hello:

I do not know what 'immigration loophole' you are referring to in your question. However, once he has served his time, he will be transferred to immigration detention for deportation proceedings.
