My work permit expired.Can i work while waiting for renewal ead?

No, you can not. You have to have a valid EAD/work permit.

You must discontinue employment when EAD has expired, unless you have independent employment authorization such as H1B or L1 nonimmigrant employment-based visa status, etc.

You can resume employment when EAD has been renewed. Since EAD renewal can be filed up to 120 days in advance of expiration of current EAD, it is a good idea to file the renewal application far enough in advance to obtain EAD approval prior to expiration of current EAD.
