Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia

My Father was just arrested for fraud. He is an Insurance Salesman and has apparently taken a client and not paid the claim which was apparently $14,000. What should we do? What type of crime is this? How long are typical sentences? How long can we expect until he goes in front of a Judge for bond? Can they take anything in his name?

That's a serious felony for which he can spend years in prison. It is very likely that someone who would commit such a serious theft has committed other thefts. The rest of your question cannot be answered. There's no way to predict details without details (like what court is he in, how many crimes will he later be charged with, etc).

The one thing he does need is the best criminal lawyer you can find.
