Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia

Subrogation against an uninsured motorist

I was in a multiple car accident in Jan 05, at the time i didnt have insurance. However, I am currently being asked by a subrogation company for $4775 worth of damages of a vehicle that i did not hit. The rep is telling me that even if i didnt hit the vehicle i am liable for damages because i didnt have insurance. Is this legal? And what should i do?

Re: Subrogation against an uninsured motorist

You might be responsible for the damages if you caused the accident even if you didn't actually hit the car. Consult with a local attorney.
