Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Backdating Documents

My company uses an electronically-monitored clock to document hours worked. Employees have come in late and proper documentation was not completed at that time. Am I covered legally if I create those forms for past tardies and ask them to sign and date them for the time of occurrence? Thank you.

Re: Backdating Documents

Without getting into your company's procedures (which can't really be understood from your post), the best way to handle things is 1) Follow your employer's/supervisor's instructions, rules and procedures, and 2) Don't be dishonest and don't sign anything you know to be incorrect.
