Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
We had a complaint against my former employer for unlawful termination. We contacted an attorney to represent us. My former company retained outside counsel for their legal representation. Once the outside counsel was obtained, my attorney gave us a bleak outlook about the outcome of our case. After the complaint was settled, we found out that our attorney was once employed by the opposing attorney's law firm. My attorney did not disclose this previous relationship. Is this considered a conflict of interest?

Instead of posting the question here, if you have concerns about what your attorney did, you should contact the Georgia state bar. www.gabar.org. There is a section on the website for the public and complaints against an attorney.
