Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I went on a job interview and it was a panel of 4 people, 3 women and 1 man. When the interview was over and I left the guy sent me numerous text messages saying how much he liked me and how beautiful I was. I didn't respond because I didn't want to ruin my chance of getting the job but even after the text messages I felt like my chances were ruined because I didn't respond and even if I did I felt damned. I didn't give this man any of my personal info. He took all my personal info off my resume. Needless to say I am frighten that he has my phone number and address. After I didn't respond to the text he text again saying he is sorry and he'd still recommend me for the job. I haven't heard anything from the job. I feel like my chances were jeopardized when he contacted me. Can I do something legally about this.

You don't tell us what you mean by "do something legally." Stop a potential stalker with police intervention? Make sure you still have a chance at the job? Sue and get a check?

If the first, if you have a reasonable fear of this, contact the police. If you want the job (and there is a question of why you would after this), you don't tell us whether this happened yesterday or 6 months ago, and there are other details such as size of the business, etc. If you want a check, you can probably see some lawyers who will pursue something like that, but if you are unemployed and need a job keep in mind the reality that other future employers will know if you pursued a lawsuit from a job interview (whether or not you have a valid claim).

If you simply want to get this behind you but at the same time feel it is important to see that this does not happen again, without potentially jeopardizing other job opportunities, contact the HR department or highest level manager you can find and report the details.

If you want to move on and put this behind you, not rock a boat or potentially anger anyone, you can do that too. Either way, do not respond to this man in any way, and save the messages.
