Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

What is the legality of backdating employment forms. The document was ment to be signed on a particular date of which he was to begin work. The document was overlooked and after 3 months H/R discovered it and had that employee backdate the required form. As a (third party) employee for same company I could be affected. Seniority issue. Your thoughs? Thank you.

I would need more information to give you a comprehensive answer, but I can tell you that you can have a retroactive effective date. Back dating a signature, however, could be a problem.
