Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I recently got sick I could not go to at work my employer claimed my doctors note was fake and verbally told me she would cut my hours until she could prove it was real so I called my doctor and asked was there a number she could call they told me no because its against the law to give out that kind of information because they provided a doctors note so what legal action can I take against my employer?

Employees in Georgia can be terminated for any or no reason, with no notice, with few exceptions such as unlawful discrimination. Thus, it is probably the employer, not you, who can take action to terminate, reduce hours, etc. It is their business to manage. You may have rights, such as FMLA, that could kick in, but that would not solve the issue of them not believing you. Suing won't change that either.
