Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I signed a non compete agreement when hired in 2006. I was recently let go due to restructuring not performance based. Since I did not leave voluntarily, is the non compete still applicable?

Not if the contract states that it only applies to situations in which you are involuntarily terminated. Otherwise, there is no general law that limits it. Whether it is invalid for other reasons is obviously a different question requiring a review of the document, and your employer may or may not seek to enforce it.
