Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Hi there,

I have been unemployed for two years and have applied for nearly 70 jobs in that time. I have had two interviews and no job offers. Only five rejection letters have been received.

My credit score is very low. I'm wondering what laws or precedents exist to stop state governments and private businesses from discriminating against hiring people because of their low credit score. I am concerned that this is the reason that I am not being invited for interviews because I have received feedback that my application forms contain information demonstrating that I'm qualified and have experience for the jobs I'm applying for.

Thanks for your answer.

M
