Well I worked for this company and was terminated for talking. I feel this violates my right to speech I also feel like I was discrimated on because there were 4 other peers of mines joining in the same
conversation and I was the only one signalled out for termination a week after the event. I have
been awarded my unemployment...but this company keeps appealing the decisions...we are now
on the 3 appeal process....I feel that they are mentally harassing me by not letting my unemployment go through and I would like to find out if I can legally sue them over discrimation, violation of freedom of speech and mental anguish...please advise. ... there are also 5 other people within the last month that have gotten fired by this same company who constantly keeps appealing their unemployment claims also...what can be done about this company?????
There is no right to speech at a company (free speech applies to what government can restrict), and a company in Georgia, absent a contract, can fire you for any reason or no reason at all. There is no such thing as suing them for the things you say. You have a right to seek unemployment and they have a right to appeal.
