College student and housing lease
I am a college student who signed a one year lease I didn't notice that on the lease there was a part that read If I was to have to break the lease for any reason that I must pay one half of the rent of the remainder of the lease period. the question is that My current lease isn't up yet so isn't there a way to still get out of the new lease. reason being that I am only in the area until I finish college. which is within the next few months

Not thoroughly reading a lease and considering your circumstances is not a reason to get out of your obligations.
