Landlord withholding Mail

My landlord is claiming unreasonable dues from me. I no longer live at that house. landlord claims to have given my mail to an attorney whom she does NOT have on retainer. is she allowed to withold my mail when she HAS a forwarding address?

The best solution to your problem is to notify the USPS of your forwarding address.

In addition to reporting your change of address directly to the post office, if you believe that the landlord is deliberately withholding your mail, there are postal forms you can complete at the post office to have the postal inspector investigate the matter.
