How can I be sued for back rent and damages if I've never live at the house

Did you sign a lease, or have an oral agreement and back out of it? If so, you may be responsible for some, all, or none of the amount sued. Depending on the amount of money at stake, you should take it to an experienced attorney in your area to review the complaint (statement of claim) and any documents you may have signed.
