Can my mom put me in jail for smoking weed? Im 17 years old and my mom knows i smoke but this morning she claimed i was smoking in the house but i wasnt the window was down and the smell came in the house and she basically told me im goin stop or she goin put me in jail....i got caught stealing in 2010 the judge gave me a year probation and erased it off of my record and she says she gonna call the same judge so he can put me in jail can she do that? Ima good kid i just like to have fun my grades are excellent and im going to be a ob gyn docotor when i govto college... But can u plz answer this question for me asap

Sure, your mother can call the police and you can be arrested. If you continue to do illegal drugs, because it is "fun," you will go to jail and then prison. You won't get the second chance you got last time (obviously, it did not work). You will have trouble even getting into college, much less becoming a doctor. Your choices now will severely limit your future.

Yes your mom can call the police. And if you get an arrest for just one joint, upon conviction, you lose your driver's license for a year, lose forever all federal student loans (so you can kiss that medical career goodbye), you lose a Georgia HOPE scholarship FOREVER, and may have trouble getting a medical license. You won't be able to join the military. You may be barred from SBA loans.

It sounds like you have a lot of growing up to do and ought to start listening to your mother. Medicine is a great career, but grades alone don't get you there.
