Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

Georgia

I have multiple claims against a hospital, some med mal and some not. It appears time will run (2 years) before I get an expert affidavit on the med mal. Am I OK if I file the complaint with the non-med mal counts now, then amend in a few weeks and add in the med mal counts, when I get the affidavit or will the med mal counts be barred?

First of all, you have almost no prospect of success without a lawyer, so you need one.

Second, you need the affidavits. Do not wait to file them late.

If you don't understand relatively simple issues such as when the statute of limitations runs, you have three options:

1) Hire an attorney to represent you;

2) Go to law school, or;

3) Have the defendant's motion for summary judgment granted and end up with nothing.

Best of luck.
