Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

had surgery in 2006 by dr. george Vito. It took me two years just to walk again on my left foot but i found out that he did it wrong by one of the doctors that worked for him. Since then i have been told by many doctors that i have badly damaged nerves ,i am always in pain, and my foot is always swollen. i would like to know is there anyway i can sue for malpractice or for my pain and suffering.

In most cases the statute of limitations in Georgia (assuming this was in Georgia) to sue for malpractice expires two years from when it happened, so it sounds like you waited six years past the deadline to ask. There are a few narrow exceptions, such as if you were far enough below age 18 at the time, etc. so if you think one of the few exceptions applies, see a lawyer Monday, as even those exceptions have deadlines. In the meantime ask LawGuru to remove your post, because in naming the doctor, he might be able to sue you for defamation (unless you can prove the truth of your statement), and HIS statute of limitations, since you just posted this, has just begun.
