Legal Question in Military Law in Georgia

Won't let me join...???

I've been in touch with the Marines and Air Force. They both tell me I can't join due to my highschool diploma. My diploma is from an accredited correspondence school, and acording to the school they have students who have joined the Air Force with this diploma, but not the Marines. After readiing information on the Home School Legal Defense Association's website, back in 1998 a Federal law was passed saying an applicant was required to show, high school diploma, high school transcript, pass the ASVAB and a psyical test and they had to be accepted as long as they met the other basic requirments...even if the HS Diploma was non-accredited. I have showed them transcripts, will graduate letters from my school, and I passed a practice ASVAB test with a great score. I don't understand how they can go aginst a Federal law and not let me in after I graduate?? Or am I reading this information wrong? If so, can I get some clarification.

This is too complicated of an issue to deal with over the internet. Where in Georgia are you located? I have a friend there who practices "military Law" that I will refer you to, as he will have to look at all of your paperwork and probably talk to the Recruiters.
