Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

How do I take action against a moving company located in another state?

I was moved from Pittsburh, PA to Augusta, GA by a moving company based in Florida back in June 2000. During the move, the movers destroyed two large pieces of furniture beyond repair. The driver wrote and signed a statement that they were responsible for damaging the furniture and that they disposed of it. It was requested that a claim be filed and that it would be taken care of. It's been over nine months and nothing has been recieved. It is time to take legal action and I need to know what can be done being that the company is located in another state. Any information you can provide will be very helpful. Thank you for your time.

I have sued Allied and Bekins over the years and had a number of good recoveries. However, I am too busy at the this time. Try emailing j.w.penland with this question, he may represent you concerning this matter in Georgia. [email protected] or http://www.jwpenland.com
