Would you prefer getting sued? When you start with "I crashed that car" how exactly are we to conclude that you are not responsible for the damages? How is it not "right" for you to pay for the damages you caused to their property? If you are old enough to drive, you should be old enough to understand personal responsibility. You might find that their insurer will come calling for the entire cost of the vehicle you crashed.

Obviously you owe the money. What would make you think you can crash a car and not be financially responsible?
