Since you didn't tell us why you think it is their fault, no one here can tell you if they are even liable.

And you likely have compromised whatever case you have by directlky talking to them rather than seeing a lawyer. Each time you do that, you diminish the value of whatever case you have. You NEVER EVER talk at all to the other side in any personal injury case. That is the bgest way to not get paid, or to get underpaid.

And you actually have asked the wrong question. Even if they are liable, you may also be entitled to other amounts in excess of the bill such as pain and suffering and lost wages.

The most important question is why should they pay? What did the store do wrong that caused you to fall? You made the decision to not tell us that important information, and just want to know how you can get a check. You should not expect anyone else to pay for falling when it was your own fault (such as you not looking where you are going), or simply an accident not the fault of anyone else.

Since you are the only one who knows how you came to fall, if you believe somehow it was the store's fault, such as a hidden hole, you can call a lawyer to discuss. Keep in mind, the lawyer will get a significant portion of what you recover. If it was your fault, or simply an accident that was no one's fault, you need to be responsible for your own bills.

If you were injured because of the negligent maintenance of a store premises, the store may be responsible for properly compensating you for your injuries and medical expenses. The insurance company may attempt to avoid their responsibility so you should not speak with the company or their insurance company until after consulting with an attorney to discuss your rights.

At this point, you should immediately contact an attorney to begin handling your claim. I will need additional information - however, do not post any specifics on this public website. Please feel free to call my office for a free consultation and information. (404.496.4119)

Good luck.
