Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Harassing Phone Calls

1st part: Few months ago my ex- files harrassing complaint against me with evidence- which included phone records basically. Phone records indicated I called him more than normal but he failed to indicate his action in this. Since that time, we continues to talk, and on more than one occassion had major disagreements. Recently, he filed a harrassment phone call charge, a warrant was issued , I turned myself in, and spent 1 night in jail. However, I now have proof of his annoyance calls to me, and family members, indecent pictures, and rude text msgs to me. Up until now, I never defended myself or submitted any evidencebecause it was 2 people pissing each other off. Now, I am forced to, and I am now pushing for a trial. What is it that I must prove at trial in this case? I have notarized statements and copy of phone bills from family members, copy of indecent pics, and txt msgs.

2nd part: Due to the fact of spending a night in jail, he told them I committed other crimes under alias , which was a lie can I sue for pain & suffering, and defamation of character.
