Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

My minor child was accidentally injured by another minor child while babysitting the child in their private residence. Is the parent/homeowner liable for the damages/cost of the medical care? I do not know what the final cost will be but it could exceed $2K. I live in Georgia.

I cannot tell from the facts you related whether or not the homeowner would be legally responsible or not. Legal liability of the homeowner would turn on the specifics of how your child was injured. That said, many people have homeowner's insurance. If the homeowner in this case had a type of coverage termed "Medical Payments" coverage (Med-Pay) then the insurer pays all the medical bills incurred by anyone injured on the property regardless of who was at fault up to the amount of the bills or the limit of the Med-Pay coverage. Look into that. Also, if you tell me the facts more specifically I will be happy to give you an opinion on the potential liability claim free of charge.

Maybe. It depends on the facts of the case, and whether there is med-pay coverage. With $2000 in damages you should talk to a lawyer.
