question my son saturday was at a popular restaruant chain he received food poisoning having to go to the emergency room sunday is there any legal recourse for this

If you can prove he got it there, the restaurant will, if you ask them, likely pay the ER bill and give you a coupon for a free meal or two.,

Unless there is some longer term serious health problem it is not a legal matter.
