Re: auto collision...

Your vehicle should be examined immediately to determine whether the on-board computer failed, or whether the airbag and its components failed. The angle of impact vs. velocity is the formula run by a vehicle's computer. Often the angle of impact tells the computer that the airbag should not be deployed. The other important aspect is whether the airbag's failure caused additional injuries that it would have prevented. If you want a free consultation, feel free to call my office. You will not speak with a law clerk or legal assistant, but directly with me.

Re: auto collision...

Failure of an airbag to deploy in a serious collision can be the basis of a product liability claim against the manufacturer of the vehicle as well as the manufacturer of the airbag and its component parts. Was your wife injured in the collision? If so, were her injuries the type that would have been prevented by a properly functioning airbag? My wife was in a wreck recently and I am absolutely convinced that the airbag saved her. The vehicle should be examined by an automobile reconstruction expert ASAP if you are planning on making such a claim.
