Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Forclosed Property

I once owned a home but it has been forclosed on, can the lender levy my assets to repay their loan that was borrowed? I lost my job and lost the home in the process.

Re: Forclosed Property

Yes, if they have complied with the procedures for asserting a deficiency in the proceeds of the foreclosure (i.e., that the sale was for a reasonable price and was less than the amount owed).

You should consult with an attorney to protect your rights.
