Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

lease deposits

Last year we signed a lease agreement and had to pay about $3000 down. Our lease is about up, if we don't buy the house ( if we can't get a mortgage'' are we entitled to that ''downpayment back''?

Re: lease deposits

It depends on the terms of the lease agreement. There are probably conditions that must be met in order to get back your deposit.

Re: lease deposits

The answer will depend on what the lease says about the issue. You should have a local attorney review the agreement.
