Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I live in an apt complex who is giving me an issue about my dog. I signed a one year lease which turned over to a month to month basis after the year was up. the original lease says no pets, however, the manager allowed me to have a pet when i asked. This is standard, most people in the complex have pets. Now they are saying ( only) I have to get rid of my pet because of an complaint, a false complaint with no proof . I understand I made a mistake of not getting written permission to have a pet, but isn't there some kind of warning they have to give before having a sheriff serve me? I've complied with their wishes but they still want to go to court. What rights do I have?

As was stated the last time you posted, the answer is:

(a) Look at the lease - most leases say the terms continue from month to month after it ends. In that case, the ansqwer is no.

(b) If the lease lacks such language, they can evict you on 60 days notice.

So either way the answer remains no. Plan to move.
