Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I made a cash purchase of a dishwasher. When I started to use it the first time, it would not start. I am disabled and my husband is a recent amputee. Wehad to make arrangements to take the dishwasher back for service or wait 3-4 weeks before a tech could come out. I made arrangements to go pickup the diswasher and the site was closed. I have had no use of this dishwasher only aggravation. My question is Can I get my money back from tis purchase?

No one here knows the terms of the return policy (if there is one) or warranty as you did not tell us. If there is a warranty, is it handled by the store or another company? You did not tell us what you mean by "the site was closed." Do you mean the store was closed for the day, or permanently closed, or something else? Is it a location of a chain that is still in business, so you can contact a higher manager? Have you contacted the manufacturer's customer service center? You need to provide these details to get a firm answer.

You posted this in the real estate area of Law Guru meaning house closing lawyers and not consumer lawyers will see it, so you may want to repost in the correct area with more information.

If you bought a new dishwasher with a warranty, contact the manufacturer.

If you bought a used one, and there is no written warranty or return policy you likely wasted your money. If there is a written warranty or return policy that is not being honored you can sue the seller in Magistrates/Small Claims court.
