Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Multiple Owners of property

My mother is 2/3 owner of several thousand acres of vacant land (with timber) in Southern Georgia. The other owners are 2 nephews that don't get along with my mother. Since the land is not divided is it possible to force the nephews to have it surveyed and then divided. I don't think they would willingly agree to separate the land since the larger area is more valuable to hunters, timber companies etc.

Re: Multiple Owners of property

Your mother needs to get an attorney to file a Petition to Partition. That will most certainly bring the nephews to the bargaining table.
