Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

neighbors driveway too close to my house

Hello,

My neighbor has built a second driveway less than 2feet from my home. The driveway is so close that I hear and feel anything that enters it. My walls vibrates from the car's engine and my pictures shake from the shutting of car doors. I can't sleep, or relax since the construction of this new driveway. I'm sure my property will have a hard time selling because of it. The County says tough luck. There is

nothing legally I can do. Can you please help me?

Thank-you

Ms. Tran Lankford Tran Lankford, Attorney at Law

Homeowners' Association?

Do you have a homeowners' association in your subdivision? If so, you need to read the covenants/declaration and see if there are rules on where to build a driveway. You may try to get some opinions as to the value or depreciation of having a neighbor's driveway that close to your home. If the depreciation is substantial, you might consider a lawsuit. You should contact a local attorney and provide more information for the attorney to assess your situation.
