Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

We have been buying a place from a individual who we know and the payments are going to his father so he can make the payments at the bank. And last week I get a phone call from the guy we are buying it from and he said the payments are 2 months behind well we have paid his father like we are suppose to what kind of lawyer do we need to see he has breached our contract and is wanting us to pay the money when we already have.

A real estate attorney or a litigation attorney. You may want to modify your contract to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Either require the payments to be made on the same day that your payment is made, with proof that it was done or even better, you probably should get money orders or a certified check payable to the mortgage holder (bank), rather than to the owner of the house. Otherwise, modify the contract so that you can make the payment yourself.
