Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Tax lien on house

I am getting a divorce and discovered there is a tax lien (only in my husbands name) for unpaid taxes. He is 50% owner. How do I ensure that he gets the lien off so I can sell the house. I am going to stay in the house until it can be sold.

Re: Tax lien on house

You need a lawyer (your own lawyer who regularly practices in this area of law) in the case to answer this and other questions, based on the particular facts. The lawyer will also see that the decree and/or settlement agreements are enforced. A forum such as this can't guide you through the unknown.
