I own an upscale tattoo shop in Georgia, as well as one in Florida. I am looking to relocate my Georgia shop to an area with more "traffic". In the past week I have been denied the right to lease 4 different spaces because the leasing agent does not wish to lease the space to "that type of business". Is this legal? Can they discriminate based on their dislike of my industry?
Unfortunately, yes.
Landlords are free to determine what kind of business they wish to have as tenants, so, unfortunately you have no legal redress and simply have to look elsewhere.
