Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Georgia

comments made at work

I am a gay male, and as of now, no one at work knows, comments are made all the time to me by my managers saying, that I am so gay, and now today I asked if there was anything else needed to be done before I left for lunch, my manager said yes, come here for a minute, I walked over to him and asked ''what he needed?'' He then told me ''get on your knees'' I am not sure how to take it as a joke or sexual harassment seeing I am not sure if he knows I really am gay, but if so, what do I have to do to make a case?

Re: comments made at work

You didn't state how many employees the company has at the location. The number of employees is important to determine if you are covered by Title VII. I recommend you go to the EEOC website (www.EEOC.gov) to read up on the employer size issue and other requirements for stopping or pursuing a claim for sexual harassment. Yes, there can be same sex sexual harassment and sexual discrimination.

I am also licensed and have a practice in Georgia, which includes discrimination law.
