Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Georgia

sexual harassment in texting ?

My boss has been sending me text messages asking to go to bars with him. First off I am underage. He even asked if I had a fake ID so I could go out. So I asked around the work place to see how I should handle the situation. It got back to my boss I thought what he was doing was wrong and now I have been accused of gossip and making him look bad. I'm not sure how I should handle this, or even if there is anything I can do. Now my boss wont speak to me at our work place.

If there is an employee handbook, there should be a section on reporting sexualy harassment. You should have looked there first. If there isn't an employee handbook (on paper or on line), and if there isn't a HR department, you should go on line www.EEOC.gov to see if your employer comes within the jurisdiction of the EEOC. Also, if complaints followed up by written confirmation to the appropriate person at your job does not work, you may have the option of filing a charge with the EEOC.
