Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

I was pulled over for failing to yield to traffic, my cars transmission slipped hard, I was very high probably smoked a ton of pot before I got pulled over, he smelled pot, I told him id smoked a few hours before, he arrested me, then he asked the passanger(whos name isnt on the title or anything) could he search my car? she agreed and he did {is that legal for a passanger to concent in georgia? after that a joint was found outside the car in my girlfriends pocketbook,(my girlfriend being the passanger who submitted.also I was refused a choice of which drug test urine/blood I could take is that legal also?
