Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

I was recently in Cobb Couny (Austell) and was given a ticket for the move over law. I slowed down, but did not move to next lane on my right. I called the court to see what my fine was, but the lady instructed me that it was a "must appear" and also that its considered a misdemeanor. I have never had so much as a parking ticket in my life, let alone a traffic ticket, no accidents, etc. Is there any way to gage how much this ticket will be? Is there a chance I can get it thrown out due to my clear and perfect driving record?

The maximum fine under state law is $500 plus costs and surcharges. No one here can predict the fine or outcome, but in many courts, with a lawyer and a pretrial, a prosecutor certainly might entertain a plea bargain based on the facts (which we don't have) and your driving history.
