Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

Speeding Ticket

I got a speeding ticket while going thru pembroke,ga. 15 miles over the speed limit, I can't afford this on my insurance. I can't find an attorney, in pembroke. And the two i found close enough, were unaffordable. Would it do me any good to write the clerk of the court to ask them to reduce the limit of the penalty. Has anyone had sucess, at writing a letter of reduction. HELP I only have until 10/7/05.

Re: Speeding Ticket

The Clerk cannot (at least here in NC) reduce a speeding charge. You will need to speak to the District Atorney.

Re: Speeding Ticket

Extremely doubtful, but it may be worth a try. I would recommend calling instead of writing a letter.
