Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

I got two traffic citations 10/13/2014 in Atlanta Ga. for lack of insurance & no registration because my insurance company never filed my proof of insurance. I went to traffic court today and when asked by the clerk my plea, I answered innocent and they gave me a court date. I have proof of insurance but can't find anyone who will stop this runaway stupidity. I have called and e-mailed different government people but never gotten a response. Any ideas?

This is not "runaway stupidity." This is your insurance company breaking the law and not submitting information, and not the court's fault. Since your license can be suspended, you should consult with counsel to know what to do. And normal proof of insurance (card or policy) will not be enough. You want a letter from the insurer specifically taking blame for screwing up and certifying that you had insurance on that date and ever since.

Glen is correct

Hire criminal attorney ASAP to correct error and get your license back

Once that is done, hire civil attorney to sue insurance broker and/or insurance carrier if either or both at fault

We do both and can coordinate same.
