Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

I am in violation of probation for a misdeamor traffic violation in Clayton County Georgia. What should I do? My license is suspened and I want to resolve this issue. I do not want to serve time. I am a student and just want to get on with my life. I hve not reported or called for almost a year. Please advice. Is is possible that I might have to serve time?

It would be to your adavantage to retain the services of an attorney. The likilihood

exists that there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest. Probably the best thing you can do at this time would be to make arranagements to turn yourself in. If there is an outstanding fine you should be in a position to pay the fine off when you turn yourself in. There may also be a warrant fee. You will still have to go before a judge if there is an outstanding warrant. If you chose to handle this without an attorney you should contact your probation officer and explain what you want to do and see what he/she recommends.
